This is the third set of Pointehaven sheets I've bought. I wash them in generic Woolite (Kroger brand) in warm water with All free and clear fabric softener. I put them in the dryer for 5 minutes and then drape them over my shower curtain rod and allow them to finish drying (in a couple of hours). If you wash them in harsh detergent and then cremate them in the dryer they will not turn out well or last long so you need to stick to cheap polyester or synthetic sheets that are indestructible. The reason I buy Pointehaven Egyptian cotton sheets is because of the soft, smooth texture and the fact that they breathe! I've had one set for 5 years and they only get better with age. I buy the colored sheets - usually blue or green and they do fade over time - achieving a sort of tie- dyed look, which I like. If you don't like that, you can always select white, but I would not use bleach on them. Bleach eats up your clothes - especially chlorine bleach.These are the best sheets I have bought for the money and when they say they are for deep pockets they really mean it. They are soft, wash and wear great. I will continue to buy this brand as long as they are in business. Thank you PointhavenI love the feel of real cotton sheets, but I really don't like what they call "sateen" or percale. I want old fashioned soft cotton which I thought these were, but no. I washed them before use and when I took them out of the dryer, I was so disappointed. They have a slick and "crunchy" feel to them instead of the buttery soft cotton feel. They fit the bed well and aren't horrible, but just realize they aren't 100% cotton.These sheets are NOT 100% cotton. They may be a cotton blend with polyester/microfiber mix. The reason why I say this is that polyester/microfiber makes me itch and these sheets do that. I have no problem with cotton. Also they are very thin and leave LOTS of lent in my dryers lent screen. Another indication that they contain polyester. But, they are soft and stay on the bed well but that is all the positive that I can give them. I am getting ready to try to return them and I am sure that will be a process since they come from out of the country. I cannot recommend these sheets.Update: I just heard from the company that makes these sheets and they guarantee that they are 100 % cotton. I should not say that they are not cotton since I have no way to test them .I also want to add that I washed them 3 times in dye free detergent and even a double rinse. I then dried them on an ultra low setting and they were dry in 20 minutes. How is that possible? They are thin and with all the lent that they leave in the drier, I don't see how they could last any amount of time.These sheets have lots of great reviews and that lead me to but them . I am glad for all the people that are enjoying them .Seems like all I can expect in the return in 50% of cost. Better than nothing since I cannot sleep on these sheets.4 stars only because the color is off (for me) - the sheets are comfy and soft!I was hoping for a dark, rich Brown. These have a little more orange tint - brighter than the Dark brown I was hoping for. I would buy again in another color. . .These sheets are very soft and are wide enough to actually be able to tuck in under my 18" queen mattress. The fitted sheet does actually fit as well. I purchased the crisp white and they are just that and have a light sheen.I’ve tried a lot of different sheets but have always found the Pointehaven 500TC sheets made from Egyptian cotton to be the best. I prefer Egyptian cotton sheets for feel, comfort and durability. Extra deep pockets fit on my 17” mattress with plenty of sheet to spare. I move around a lot in bed but these sheets always stay tucked in. I’ve bought 4 sets of these sheets over time but not because the sheets have had any problems but just because I like the wide choice of colors. The first set I bought still looks and feels as good as this newest set does.These are some of the finest softest most comfortable sheets I've ever had the chance to sleep in. I have traveled to a lot of five star and resort hotels in my business life world and I wouldn't say these beat anything I've slept in my life but they are on pairity. I washed them a couple of times when I first got them out of the package in cold water and medium heat dry. If you can, put them on your bedding right away for minimal wrinkling and if not they'll disappear in a day. Now the reason for a full five star is I felt there was objectivity when both my girlfriend and when I had company over in the guest bedroom. Both commented profusely how much they enjoyed sleeping on those sheets and pillow cases and how soft and cool they were to the skin.Arrived on time (Prime Shipping). The color received was as advertised (Blue). My biggest issue is that these are NOT "100% Egyptian Cotton" (as the previous reviewer mentioned; the exterior packing does say it is "Egyptian Cotton," BUT the actual tags that are sewn on each item (i.e., pillow cases, fitted sheet, top sheet) say "100% Cotton"...NOT "100% Egyptian Cotton"! Think about it...if it was 100% Egyptian Cotton, don't you think they would have EVERYTHING state "100% Egyptian Cotton" rather than JUST the exterior packaging??In summary, these are good sheets for "100% Cotton" sheets. However, these are not "100% Egyptian Cotton" sheets that you're paying the premium price for. Therefore, I would not recommend these (fake) "Egyptian Cotton" sheets, especially at this price point. You can find similar quality "100% Cotton" sheets for significantly less.Colour is mint green not sage - even though packaging in with the item noted it as sage. (Needed to match somewhat monochromatically to a duvet with green accents). I understand computer colours can be different, but these were really MINT green! 1950's MINT GREEN. They were rougher than I expected for Egyptian Cotton. Also materials only note it as "Cotton" not "Egyptian Cotton". Sheets are thick and have a bit of a sheen, which is nice. I wouldn't order again, paid more $$ to get soft sheets, but that's just me, others may not be put off by these things. Would have cost too much to ship back so I didn't bother.Started to make cotton piles after a couple of weeks. Very disappointed with the product. Not recommending it at all. Very uncomfortable to sleep on.I would give this product a 0 if I could. The sheets have a terrible chemical smell. They are very shiny and I am not convinced they are cotton at all. Please do not waste your money on these sheets made in China.Nice color and soft fabric.The color is mostly aqua,but its very nice!!Easily washable ,and very confortable.I recommand it!!I bougth california king set and the measurements is accurate,fits perfectly.
