I'm overdue for new bedding and finally took the plunge with these. It is VERY difficult to find 100% Cotton sheets!! Most of the time I kept finding microfiber or falsely advertised 100% cotton. NOT the case with these.I wasn't looking for anything luxurious, just 100% cotton and little more than the typical 300 count that are found in the big box stores. I received these yesterday, I took shots, and threw them in the wash. I don't care if they're new... I rather wash before using them.These are made in India and according to the tags I found on the sheets & cases themselves... these are also ORGANIC Egyptian Cotton. How accurate is this? IDK. But if this is the case, I'm even more thrilled! At the time of purchase these cost just under $40 for the Queen set in Solid Ivory color at 800 count. I received 2 queen cases, 1 fitted, & 1 flat sheet.I'm finding the sheets very well made, comfortable, but soft. These are comparable to the stiff quality sheets I grew up with but without the stiffness. These almost have a Satin-y type look but softer, fluffy feel. Now 'some' of the stitching is not perfect BUT hardly noticeable and nothing is coming undone.I HIGHLY recommend these sheets for those looking for 100% Cotton. I doubt you'll be disappointed!! As for washing care: "Machine wash warm, seperately. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low but remove immediately to avoid wrinkles." However I did wash these with a few white colored clothes because I don't like to waste energy or water. All came out just fine here.I bought this from the seller "RajLinen" but fulfilled by Amazon.com LLC, which I feel is important to list this info. I've come across sellers with variances in their items, including knockoffs, even if listed as same brand.***UPDATE***10-31-17Well, I'm thrilled with my original purchase. The sheets are still holding up just fine. I decided to go ahead and buy another set. This time I bought the ones in Sage. They are slightly different in texture but have the same tags of being 100% Organic Egyptian Cotton. I wanted to have a spare set of sheets, especially while the price is still right. It's nice to have a backup set when laundering, instead of having to wait for the ones in the wash. I'm surprised at the negative reviews I've read this time around. I just think some people are overly picky, I don't know. I mean $40 for 100% cotton sheets? You can't even get near that price at the local big box stores.... at least not that I've seen. Most of the time they sell everything individually, costing double or triple by the time your done. *shrugs*You are getting what you pay for. I did a lot of reading before this purchase, hours in fact. Ranging from weave types, thread count, and material types. Most of these people received this item for free or at discount for their review. I did not. So here's a real review:Packaging is exactly pictured as in customer uploads. One key difference is my package did not contain the Egyptian cotton seal created in 2000 by the Egyptian ministry of industry to ensure consumers were getting their product, at least the raw material, exported from Egypt. This was a disappointment. There is no fee to carry this. Only buying the Egyptian cotton, then registering your business.I set aside my disappointment as I paid 10 dollars less for a brushed microfiber set and figured it had to be better. I washed these first thing in cold water, delicate cycle (front loader no agitator) and air dryed tumble only (no heat). Immediately the sheen was removed if that is important to you. The material was free of piling, but I could instantly tell that the sheen was aiding in creating the softness when first opened.I slept on the sheets last night. I could tell they were breathable, had decent but not heavy weight to them, but not very soft. Perhaps after many, many washes they will get to a point that I would be happy with but as I've had the "more expensive sheets", I am doubtful. You generally get what you pay for.Would I recommend these? If ultra soft is not important and your budget is around the microfiber range, most definitely. If you have a much higher budget, I would honestly look elsewhere and be on the lookout for the things I mentioned. I will be keeping these for winter months as back ups, but that's it. Until I can afford some two hundred dollar sheets, I'll be returning to a quality satin set as in the past it has been my go-to sheet for softness and cooling in hot summer months.These sheets have a crisp behavior to them and feel cool and soft. They feel high quality. The color is more brick red than burgundy. The elastic on the bottom sheet is pretty skimpy but is sturdy enough, I suppose. I have two sets for my vacation rental and I have washed each of them twice so far. Both of them developed darker spots in them as a result of washing them - as though the laundry soap acted like oil instead of soap. I used Ecos lavender scented. Maybe my H.E. washer just doesn't rinse well enough, so I'll have to try an extra rinse or a plain water wash as well. They come out of the dryer wrinkled, but a lot of it presses out with just hand smoothing. There is very little lint in the lint trap. Someone bled on or spilled something on one set and after washing it the stain actually lightened up to almost pink even though I did not treat the stain with stain remover.1/1018 Update: I ended up continuing to use these sheets. They have been washed at least 35 times now and the color has become a bit more even. They have developed a look and feel of soft, very light suede, which I really like. One of the pillow cases unraveled a bit on the seam, but is an easy fix. The best part is that there is still NO PILLING AT ALL.Awful after first wash. They felt amazing when I first received and was so excited. Washed before first use and they became so scratchy I had to get up in the middle of the night to change them. And I was only using the fitted sheet! Will stick to buying sheets from trusted brands from now on, lesson learned.
